Supervivientes de una "cruel tradición" llamada caza

Nos ha tocado vivir una época de
cambios. Cambios sociales, cambios políticos, cambios económicos y últimamente
hay un cambio que nos preocupa más a todos y a todas: el cambio climático. Pero
¿Hay un cambio real de pensamiento y de mentalidad? ¿Qué pasa con la caza y con
los perros que se utilizan para este fin? No he podido evitar ver en los medios
de comunicación cómo el mar destroza todo lo que encuentra a su paso y le
devuelve al ser humano lo que éste arrojó: basura, desperdicios y plásticos.
Por desgracia, la gran mayoría de los
cazadores actúan como el mar, ya que consideran a los perros herramientas que
cuando no sirven (según su criterio) los tiran como si fueran residuos. Los
descartan y abandonan en un estado lamentable: hacinados, desnutridos, enfermos,
aterrorizados, golpeados, sin chipear, esterilizar o vacunar. La mayor tristeza es que luego terminan sus
días en una perrera sobresaturada y convirtiéndose en abuelos y abuelas que no
siempre acaban conociendo un hogar feliz.
Estos pobres perros, suelen
encontrarse en zulos y auténticas tumbas y cárceles que recuerdan a los campos
de concentración. Muchos medios de comunicación (prensa, radio, tv e incluso la
prestigiosa revista National Geographic) ya se han hecho eco de esta terrible
situación y de la ubicación de estas infraviviendas, que por otra parte, se
constituyen como ilegales al ocupar cauces de barrancos y ríos. Esos que
también el ser humano ha robado a la propia naturaleza.
Además del daño que le hacen a los perros,
vierten a nuestros ecosistemas toneladas de plomo (metal conocido por su
elevada toxicidad) que acaba dañando a otras especies animales y vegetales y
filtrándose en las galerías con el consecuente desastre ambiental. Esto que comento es una dato objetivo que le
puedes preguntar a biólogos, científicos, veterinarios de Canarias, a
protectoras de animales y a la población en su conjunto y con datos empíricos
en la mano te responderán que la caza es un despropósito en sí.
Hay también un elevadísimo número de
redes sociales y grupos animalistas que
se dedican a rescatar, denunciar y recaudar fondos para animales
maltratados y abandonados y que buscan casas de acogidas y adopciones para
estas víctimas de la caza y otros casos de maltrato. A todos ellos, como
siempre les doy las gracias.
Como vuelvo a recordar, por todo lo
expuesto en párrafos anteriores: cuando el río suena es que agua lleva. Es
decir, tantas malas noticias en torno a la caza no pueden estar equivocadas ni
ser malintencionadas. Simplemente el reflejo del dolor que transmite un perro
de caza a través de su aterrorizada mirada junto con toda la información
aportada, es suficiente para cogerle la manía que se merece a tan vil
costumbre.
Mucha gente me pregunta ¿Pero esto es
legal? ¿Cómo puede permitir el Gobierno de Canarias y sus Cabildos tanto
maltrato en las islas y la contaminación de nuestros parajes naturales? ¿Les compensa tanto la caza como para obviar
todo lo comentado? ¿Cuánto dinero se gasta el erario público en la gestión de
protectoras de animales?
Al parecer, aunque va disminuyendo
cada año el número de cazadores, esta práctica sigue siendo lucrativa y
beneficiando el bolsillo de quienes hacen negocio a costa del sufrimiento de
los más indefensos.
Y como siempre, los cazadores dirán
que no es verdad, que los tratan como a sus hijos, que hacen un control
cinegético, que es una tradición y que es un noble arte. Yo les diré que si los tratan como a sus hijos
deberíamos llamar a asuntos sociales, que ese supuesto control cinegético es
una falacia dado que ellos mismos introdujeron al muflón en su momento y
sobrecrían conejos para tener algo que matar. Y respecto a lo de la tradición y
noble arte, recordarles que la esclavitud también fue una costumbre y el
machismo antes era algo normalizado , asumido y tradicional en la sociedad
patriarcal y sin embargo en la actualidad, la evolución del pensamiento y la
educación rechazan y penalizan tan despreciables actos.
Hablando de evolución: ¿Todavía no se
ha hecho nada con el caso de los 90 podencos de Mogán? Recordar que es uno de
los casos por no decir el caso de mayor maltrato animal de toda Europa y
seguimos esperando una respuesta lógica del Gobierno de Canarias por tal
atrocidad.
Por otra parte, no quería terminar
sin felicitar a la sargento del Seprona Gloria Moreno por haber sido absuelta
de aquellos cargos que impedían la realización de su excelente labor contra el
maltrato animal y desear que La Nueva Dirección de Protección Animal del nuevo
y reciente gobierno empiece a valorar el creciente sentimiento de la población
contra la caza, el mal uso de perros en ella y el maltrato animal en su
conjunto.

Wir erleben eine Zeit des Wandels,
soziale Veränderungen, politische Veränderungen, wirtschaftliche Veränderungen
und schließlich gibt es einen Wandel, der uns alle viel mehr betrifft: den
Klimawandel.
Aber gibt es ein wirkliches Umdenken
und eine echte Denkweise?
Was ist mit der Jagd und Hunden, die
für diesen Zweck verwendet werden?
Ich konnte nicht umhin, in den Medien
zu sehen, wie das Meer alles auf seinem Weg zerstört und dem Menschen das zurückgibt,
was er rein geworfen hat: Müll, Abfall und Kunststoffe.
Leider verhalten sich die meisten
Jäger wie das Meer, da sie Hunde als Werkzeuge betrachten, die sie wegwerfen,
wenn sie nicht mehr dienen (ihrer Meinung nach), als wären sie Abfall. Sie entsorgen sie und setzen sie in einem
schrecklichen Zustand aus : unterernährt, krank, erschrocken, geschlagen, ohne
Chip, nicht sterilisiert und nicht geimpft.
Aber das Herzzerreißendste ist, dass
sie ihre Tage in einem überfülltem Zwinger beenden und zu Opas und Omas werden,
die nie ein glückliches Zuhause haben werden.
Diese armen Hunde werden in der Regel
in authentischen Höhlen und Bunkern gefunden, die Konzentrationslagern
gleichen.
Viele Medien (Presse, Radio,
Fernsehen und sogar das renommierte National Geographic Magazin) haben bereits
über diese schreckliche Situation und die Lage dieser Haltung informiert, die
auf der anderen Seite als illegal angesehen wird, da sie Schluchten und
Flussbetten besetzen, welche diese Menschen der Natur gestohlen haben.
Zusätzlich zu den Schäden, die sie
den Hunden zufügen, werfen sie Tonnen von Blei (Metall, das als hochgiftig
bekannt ist) in unsere Ökosysteme, die am Ende andere Tier- und Pflanzenarten
schädigen und mit der daraus resultierenden Umweltkatastrophe in die Galerien
gelangen.
Das können Biologen, Wissenschaftler,
Tierärzte der Kanarischen Inseln, Tierschützer und die Gesamte Bevölkerung
bestätigen, dass die Jagd eine Katastrophe ist.
Es gibt auch eine grosse Anzahl von
sozialen Netzwerken und Gruppen, die Tiere retten, Anzeigen erstatten und Hilfe
für misshandelte und ausgesetzte Tiere suchen und Adoptionen für diese Opfer
der Jagd und anderer Fälle schlechter Haltung.
Allen wie immer ein herzliches

Ich möchte nochmals betonen, dass die
Wahrheit immer ans Tageslicht kommt, wir sagen hier: „Wenn der Fluss Lärm
macht, heisst das, dass Wasser fließt“.
Ich meine, so viel schlimme
Nachrichten über die Jagd können nicht falsch oder bösartig sein. Allein das
Leid, das ein Jagdhund mit seinem angstvollem Blick übermittelt, reicht aus, um
so grausame Bräuche abzuschaffen.
Viele Leute fragen mich, ob das legal ist ? Wie kann die Regierung der
Kanarischen Inseln und ihre Cabildos so viel Misshandlungen auf den Inseln und
die Verschmutzung der Natur zulassen?
Macht die Jagd so viel aus, um alles zu ignorieren? Wie viel Geld wird für den
Tierschutz ausgegeben?
Es scheint, dass obwohl die Zahl der
Jäger Jahr für Jahr abnimmt, diese Tätigkeit nach wie vor lukrativ bleibt und
der Tasche derer zugute kommt, die Geschäfte auf Kosten des Leidens machen.
Und wie immer werden Jäger sagen,
dass es nicht wahr ist, dass sie sie wie ihre Kinder behandeln, dass sie eine
Kontrolle durchführen, dass es eine Tradition ist und dass es eine edle Kunst
ist.
Ich denke, wenn sie die Tiere wie
ihre Kinder behandeln, sollten wir beim Sozialamt anrufen.
Es werden Tiere eingeführt und
gezüchtet, um sie dann zu jagen, auch Kaninchen.
Und was Tradition und edle Kunst
betrifft, erinnere ich daran, dass Sklaverei auch einst eine Tradition war und
der Machismus ganz normal, angenommen und in der patriarchalischen Gesellschaft
üblich, und dennoch lehnt die Entwicklung und Bildung derartige
verabscheuungswürdige Taten ab und bestraft sie.
Apropos Evolution: Noch ist nichts
mit dem Fall der 90 Podencos von Mogan geschehen? Denken Sie daran, dass es
einer der Fälle ist, ganz zu schweigen von dem Fall eines weiteren
Tiermissbrauchs in ganz Europa, und wir erwarten weiterhin eine logische Antwort
der Regierung der Kanarischen Inseln über solche Gräueltaten.
Andererseits möchte ich nicht enden,
ohne der zum Seprona gehörenden Sergeant Gloria Moreno zu gratulieren, weil sie
von allen Anklagen freigesprochen wurde.
Ich schätze ihre ausgezeichnete
Arbeit gegen Tiermissbrauch und wünsche, dass die Tierschutzbewegung der neuen
Regierung beginnt, den zunehmenden Wunsch der Bevölkerung gegen Jagd,
Missbrauch von Hunden und Tiermissbrauch zu bewerten.

We've got to experience a time of
change. Social changes, political
changes, economic changes and finally there is a change that concerns much more
all of us: climate change. But is there
a real change of thinking and mindset?
What about hunting and dogs that are used for this purpose? I couldn’t avoid to see in the media how the
sea destroys everything on its way and gives the human being back what he
threw: rubbish, waste and plastics.
Unfortunately, most hunters act like
the sea, as they consider dogs tools that when they do not serve (in their
opinion) throw them away as if they were waste.
They rule them out and abandon them in a terrible state: overcrowded,
malnourished, sick, terrified, beaten, without chip, not sterilized and not
vaccinated. But the most heartbreaking
is that they will end their days in an oversaturated kennel and become grandpas
and grandmas who never will have a happy home.
These poor dogs usually are found in
authentic caves and bunkers which seem concentration camps.
Many media (press, radio, tv and even
the prestigious National Geographic magazine) have already informed about this
terrible situation and the location of these infrahomes, which on the other
hand, are constituted as illegal as they
occupy ravines and rivers. Those
that certain human beings have also stolen from nature.
In addition to the damage they do to
dogs, they throw tons of lead (metal known as high toxic) into our ecosystems
that ends up damaging other animal and plant species and leaking into the
galleries with the consequent environmental disaster. This is something you can ask biologists,
scientists, veterinarians of the Canary Islands, animal protectors and the
population as a whole and they all will answer that hunting is disaster.
There is also a very high number of
social networks and animal groups that are dedicated to rescue, denouncing and
raising funds for abused and abandoned animals and seeking shelters and
adoptions for these victims of hunting and other cases of mistreatment. All of them a big thank you, like I always
do.
I want to underline, as I did before
that the truth is coming out, we say “If the river makes a noise its because
water is running”.
I mean, so much bad hunting news
can't be wrong or malicious. Just the
pain that a hunting dog transmits through its terrified looking add to all the
information before, is enough to begin hating such cruel habits.
A lot of people ask me, but is this
legal? How can the Government of the
Canary Islands and its Cabildos allow so much mistreatment on the islands and
the pollution of our natural places?
Does hunting make up so much to ignore everything commented ? How much money is spent on managing animal
protectors?
It seems that although the number of
hunters is declining every year, this practice remains lucrative and benefits
the pocket of those who do business at the expense of the suffering of the most
helpless.
And as always, hunters will say that
it is not true, that they treat them like their children, that they do a
control, that it is a tradition and that it is a noble art.
I will tell you that if you treat
them as your children, we should call social issues, that this supposed control
is a fallacy since they themselves introduced the muflon at the time and breed
rabbits to have something to kill.
And with regard to tradition and
noble art, remind you that slavery was also a custom and the machismo was once
normalized, assumed and traditional in patriarchal society and yet today, the
evolution of thought and education reject and penalize such despicable acts.
Speaking of evolution: Nothing has
been done yet with the case of the 90 Podencos of Mogan? Remember that it is one of the cases, not to
mention the case of further animal abuse in all of Europe, and we continue to
expect a logical response from the Government of the Canary Islands for such an
atrocity.
On the other hand, I do not want to
end without congratulating the Seprona Sergeant Gloria Moreno for being
acquitted of all charges against her.
I appreciate her excellent work
against animal abuse and wish that the new direction of Protección Animal of
the new and recent government begins to assess the increasing sentiment of the
population against hunting, misuse of dogs and animal abuse.
